When you dispose items to an FFL who is also using FastBound, the disposition is sent to the transferee electronically and will appear in their account as a pending acquisition.
When committing your disposition, FastBound will use your transferee contact’s email address to check and see if they are using FastBound. If they are, FastBound will then look at their accounts to find an account with an FFL number that matches the disposition contact’s FFL number.
-
If the FFL number is found, a pending acquisition is created in their account.
-
If the FFL number is not found (e.g. email address is not found in FastBound), then we will still email the contact the details of the transfer.
For each item transferred, the following fields are sent electronically:
-
Manufacturer
-
Importer
-

-
Serial
-

-
Caliber
-
Barrel Length (inches)
-

Additionally, the transferor’s FFL information is sent electronically. If the transferor exists in the transferee account’s contacts, the contact will be updated with the information transmitted at the time of transfer. If the contact does not exist, a new contact will be created in the transferee’s account.
