How to save your NYSP Code Number to auto-populate the NY P-12

When filling out the NY state form P-12 you are required to enter your NYSP Code Number along with many other details about your FFL, the firearm(s), and the transferee.

Follow these steps to auto-populate the P-12 with your NYSP Code Number

First go to your Account Owner contact

  • From the Main Menu Click on Contacts
    ​

  • At the top of the Contacts page expand the Account Owner FFL panel

    • Then click on your Account Owner Contact
      ​

Add your NYSP Code Number to your Licenses

  • In the Licensing panel click the Add button
    ​

  • In the Create License panel enter your CFDN and save it

    • Type – You must enter exactly “NYSP CODE NO.” (without the quotes).

    • Number – You must enter your NYSP Code Number.

    • Expiration – You can leave this blank, if you do you must check the License Does Not Expire box.

    • License Does Not Expire – You can only select this if you leave the ExpiratIon blank.

    • Copy on File – This is optional.

  • Last step is to click the Save and Add button to save your NYSP Code Number.
