CUPS is the standards-based, open source printing system developed by Apple Inc. for macOS® and other UNIX®-like operating systems. CUPS uses the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) to support printing to local and network printers. CUPS is installed and part of your macOS. You do not need to install anything.
To enable the CUPS web utility

Open your preferred web browser and navigate to http://localhost:631/printers/
If the page does not load you will need to enable the CUPS web browser utility. If the page loads you can skip this step.

Open Terminal on your Mac
You can use the keyboard shortcut Command + Space.Type in “Terminal”.
You should see the Terminal application under Top Hit at the top of your results. Double-click it and Terminal will open.

Once Terminal is open you will need to type, or paste:
cupsctl WebInterface=yes
You won’t receive a response, but it worked.

Go back to the first step and make sure the web interface works. If it works continue below. If not then try again. If you have trouble please contact our support using the chat at the bottom right corner of your window.
After the CUPS webs browser utility is working you can continue configuring the default printer settings for your Dymo label printer.

From the list of printers select your Dymo Label Printer

In the Administration dropdown choose “Set Default Options”

On the General screen choose the “Media Size” dropdown and choose your default label size. The FastBound default is the “30334 2-1/4 in x 1-1/4 in”

Again on the General screen.
* Output Resolution (optional).– If you’re printing barcodes or images on your labels we recommend you set this to “300×600 DPI”.
* Print Quality (optional).
– If you’re printing barcodes or images on your labels we recommend you set this to “Barcodes and Graphics”. -
Click the Set Default Options button to Save
* When you save you may be asked to enter your Mac admin id and password. -
After you successfully set your default options you will receive a brief success message
