Troubleshooting & How-Tos

Crashes or app won’t open

  • Force quit the app and reopen

  • Restart your device

  • Make sure you’re on iPadOS 15.6 or later

  • Ensure you have storage space available

  • Remove the app, reinstall the app, and then repeat First Time Setup

Permissions (Camera / Microphone)

  • The app requires Camera access to scan QR codes and PDF417 barcodes on the back of identification cards.

  • Interactive kiosk hardware requires Microphone access to control the hardware’s aiming light, scanning light, and scan confirmation beeper.

  • This app never records, stores, or transmits audio. Microphone permission is used solely for hardware control.

  • To adjust permissions:

    • Go to Settings → Apps → FastBound 4473

    • Enable Camera

    • Enable Microphone (if using Interactive kiosk hardware)

Connectivity problems

  • Test another website to confirm internet access
