Attachment’s can be added to every contact within FastBound. The attachments you upload can very depending on the type of contact. If FastBound there are three types of contacts, an FFL, an Organization, and Customers. In addition to these there is a special contact for the Account Owner of the account.
Examples of Attachments commonly uploaded to FastBound based on the contact type are:

FFL

Signed copy of the FFL.

Copy of the FFL’s business license.

Copy of an LOA if the FFL is temporarily operating under one.

Organization

Copy of the Organization’s business license.

Letter or other documents relating to the authorized transfer of items.

Customer

Copy of their drivers license, id, or other identifying documents.

Account Owner
-
Signed copy of your FFL, to be used for transfers.

Copy of an LOA, if you are currently operating under one.

Current copy of your Business License.

Pre written “Thank You” letter.

The Account Owner contact has some special permissions within FastBound. One of them being the ability to send attachments uploaded to the Account Owner contact to other contacts in your FastBound account. These attachments must be marked as “Public” when uploading them or editing them if you want to send them to a contact in FastBound.
Tips before uploading attachments.

Every plan has a limit of how much you can store. If you go over this limit you will have to upgrade your plan.

The account owner can see what the storage limit for the plan is by going to the billing page and clicking the “Change Plan” link. This will show all of the plans and how much storage each plan allows. If you do not want to make a change to your plan do not select a plan. To leave the page select a new page to go to from the Main Menu, for example “Dashboard”.

If you need to know how much of your storage has been used message support using the chat.

Only .jpg, .gif, .jpeg, .png, .pdf, .doc, .txt, .docx, .csv, .xlsx, and .xls files can be uploaded with a maximum size of 5MB each.

When attaching a copy of a scanned document we recommend you upload it as a .pdf.

Before you upload a .pdf we recommend you run the .pdf through the official Adobe PDF compression tool. This will reduce the .pdf as much as possible and help you maximize the usage of your storage space.

When attaching other file types try to keep the file size as small as possible to maximize the usage of your storage space.

A plan with 1GB of storage will allow for approximately:

200 5MB files.

Follow these steps to add an Attachment to a Contact.

From the Main Menu click on Contacts

On the Contacts list/search page you can select the Account Owner contact by expanding the Account Owner FFL panel.

Search for a Contact by expanding the Advanced Search panel.

Select your Account Owner contact or one from the search results list.

On the Contact Edit page click the Add Attachment button.

On the Upload Attachment page

Enter a description for the attachment (required)

Upload an attachment (required)

Only .jpg, .gif, .jpeg, .png, .pdf, .doc, .txt, .docx, .csv, .xlsx, and .xls files can be uploaded with a maximum size of 5MB each.

Click the Add Attachment button

After the file is successfully uploaded it will be listed on the Contact Edit page.

To edit the attachment click the pencil.

To delete the attachment click the trash can.

Additional option to mark attachments as public on the Account Owner Contact.

On the Upload Attachment page choose the Public option when uploading the attachment.

Marking the attachment as public will include the attachment when sending a packing list to the contact or when you click the Send Public Attachments link on the contact details page.
