Another round of updates is now live, continuing our steady commitment to improving your FFL software experience. While many providers rarely update—or rarely tell you when they do—we consistently roll out meaningful improvements. As always, these updates are 100% made in America—developed, tested, and hosted entirely in the USA—and included at no extra cost.
Here’s what’s new and improved:
Electronic 4473
U.S. Passport Support for Q26.a (NICS & NICS Direct)
You can now use a U.S. Passport as a valid identification type in Question 26.a. This enhancement supports both standard NICS Autofill and NICS Direct integrations, making it easier to process transactions when a customer presents a passport instead of a state-issued ID. We also clarified the related help documentation so your team knows exactly how to use it.
State-Specific Minimum Age Validation (LA, MS, TX)
Electronic 4473 age validation now adjusts automatically based on your FFL’s premise state. For dealers in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, the system properly reflects updated handgun age requirements. This applies to both in-system forms and external 4473 validation—helping ensure accurate ATF compliance without manual workarounds.
Compliance & State Forms
Colorado Form 7606 Enhancement
We improved how Colorado’s state form populates dealer permit information, helping ensure required numbers are properly carried through and reducing follow-up corrections.
ID Parsing Improvements
NICS Direct now more accurately validates and matches state abbreviations for driver’s licenses, IDs, and carry permits—reducing submission friction and improving approval flow.
