FastBound shipped two updates this month, and together they represent a meaningful set of improvements across state forms, NICS processing, age compliance rules, and integrations. As always, every enhancement is included at no additional cost as part of your subscription, and our team continues delivering consistent updates to help you stay ahead of compliance requirements. Everything FastBound builds, tests, and hosts is done right here in the United States. Here is what is new:

Disposition Receipts and Transfers

No More Limits on Disposition Receipt Viewing

The disposition receipt page previously capped the number of items it would display at 3,000. That limit has been removed entirely. Whether you are reviewing a large acquisition or a high-volume transfer, you can now see the complete picture without any artificial cutoff getting in the way.

Smarter Packing List Performance for Large Orders

When a packing list contains more than 1,000 items, FastBound will now skip barcode generation for that list to prevent web browser slowdowns and rendering issues on very large packing lists, so your team can continue working efficiently even when processing high-volume orders.

Partner Transfer API Now Supports Item Number Requirements

Accounts configured to require item numbers when acquiring firearms can now use the partner transfer API without interruption. This improvement ensures that your integration workflows stay consistent and uninterrupted regardless of your account configuration.

NICS and Background Checks

U.S. Passport Now Supported as Identification in NICS Direct

FastBound now supports the U.S. Passport as a valid form of identification when completing Question 26.a through NICS Direct. Both standard and New York NICS auto-fill workflows have been updated to recognize passport data, and the relevant identification type is now correctly mapped as USG PP during submission. If your customer presents a U.S. Passport, you can now proceed through the NICS Direct workflow without any additional manual steps.

State Abbreviation Validation Improved for Driver License and ID Submissions

When submitting state-issued identification through NICS Direct, FastBound now verifies that the state abbreviation on the document matches a recognized value before passing it along. This added validation step reduces the chance of a submission going through with an unrecognized or miskeyed state code, giving you greater confidence that your NICS data is accurate.

Kentucky Concealed Carry License Now Supported in NICS Direct

FastBound now recognizes the Kentucky Concealed Carry Deadly Weapons License as a valid bypass through NICS Direct. If your customer presents a Kentucky CCDW, you can now proceed through the NICS Direct workflow without needing to treat it as an unsupported document type.

Electronic 4473 and Age Requirements

Updated Minimum Age Rules for Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas

Following recent changes in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas that now permit 18-year-olds to purchase handguns, FastBound has updated both the 4473 age validation logic and the corresponding account settings to reflect the new minimums for FFLs licensed in those states. If your premises are in one of these three states, your 4473 workflow will now correctly reflect the applicable age threshold without flagging compliant transactions.

State Forms

Colorado State Form Enhancements

The Colorado state form scripts have received a comprehensive set of improvements covering pending dispositions, radio button selections, and overall usability. Forms now respond more predictably when toggling between options, and the overall experience of completing a Colorado compliance form is smoother from start to finish.

Colorado Disposition Receipt and Sale Forms Now Populate Dealer Permit Number

The Colorado Forms 7602, 7603, and 7606 will now correctly carry your dealer permit number into the form when auto-filling. This information is required on these documents, and it will now appear reliably without you needing to enter it manually.

Rhode Island Dealers Can Now Complete the Required Sales Form

FastBound now supports the Rhode Island form required under R.I. Gen. Laws section 11-47-35 for firearm sales. Rhode Island FFLs can now generate and auto-fill this state-required document directly within FastBound, keeping your compliance workflow in one place.

Michigan RI-060 Form Updated and Pistol Selection Now Supported

FastBound has incorporated Michigan’s latest version of the RI-060 form, and the Pistol and Non-Pistol designation is now fully selectable during form completion. This field is required on the form, and you can now make that selection accurately as part of your standard workflow.

State Form Fields Now Link Directly to Item Detail Pages

When reviewing completed state forms, any fields tied to a specific firearm now include a deep link back to that item’s detail page. This makes it easier to verify information or pull up additional context without having to navigate away and search manually.

Improved Radio Button Handling in State Form Auto-Fill

State form auto-fill scripts now support radio button groups that require a single mutually exclusive selection. This means that when a state form presents a set of options where only one answer applies, the auto-fill logic will now handle those fields correctly and consistently across supported forms.

Integrations

Duplicate FFL Number Handling Improved

FFLs.com has been updated to handle situations where a duplicate FFL number is encountered during processing. The system now manages these cases more reliably, ensuring that duplicate entries do not disrupt your workflow or produce unexpected results when syncing license data.
