Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge update 142 requires users to explicitly enable the Local Network Access permission to use the SigWeb service.

Turn on Local Network Access for SigWeb, please follow the steps below.

Open Chrome and go to: “chrome://settings/content/localNetworkAccess“.

Under “Default behavior” make sure “Sites can ask to connect to any device on your local network” is selected.

Next to “Allowed to connect to any device on your local network,” click Add.

Enter the website URL, “https://cloud.fastbound.com” then click “Add”

Confirm you added the FastBound URL

Ensure the Topaz SigWeb Tablet Service is Running.

Open the Windows “Run” dialogue by holding down the Windows key on your keyboard and click the “R” button (Windows + R). Then type in “services.msc” and click enter or hit the OK button.

Find “Topaz SigWeb Tablet Service” in the list of services.

Right mouse click on the “Topaz SigWeb Tablet Service” and choose “Properties”.

In the General tab find where it says “Startup Type” and ensure that “Automatic” is selected. DO NOT choose “Automatic (Delayed Start).

Then click the “Apply” button, then click the “OK” button.

Verify The COM Port

Before doing this, the Topaz Signature Pad must be plugged in.

Open the Windows “Run” dialogue by holding down the Windows key on your keyboard and click the “R” button (Windows + R). Then type in “devmgmt.msc” and click enter or hit the OK button.

In the Device Manager expand the “Ports COM & LPT) section. The COM port that your topaz device will be listed next to where it says “USB Serial Device”.
