The Acquire Type is the reason that you acquired the Item(s) and they allow you to filter your Bound Book into smaller more specific Bound Books when creating them from the Bound Book tab.
The ATF does not care what your Acquire Types are. You can create and use anything you want.
FastBound Default Examples:
These are examples, you do not have to use them but you must choose an Acquire Type when Acquiring Items. If you do not want to see our examples you can turn them off in Settings > Smart Lists. |

Consignment – Used for Items consigned to you for sale.

Dealer Transfer – Used for Items transferred to you from another licensee for a customer.

Gunsmithing – Used for Items a customer brought in and left for gunsmithing.

NFA – Used for NFA Items. Other examples may be.

Pawn – Used for Items a customer Pawned.

Private Party Transfer – Used for Items brought in by a customer and transferred to another customer. Both the seller and the buyer must be present for this type of transfer. This is required by some states like California.

Purchase – Used for Items you bought to resell. Other examples may be.

Purchase – FFL, when you purchase an item from another FFL for resale.

Purchase – Non-Licensee, when you purchase an item from a Non-Licensee for resale.
