Reporting Multiple Sales

Written by Jarad on March 20, 2023

A multiple sale report is not required for the return of firearms to the same individual it was acquired from. This includes all disposition types such as Pawn Redemption, Consignment, Repair, Gunsmithing, etc.

Pistols and Revolvers (3310.4)

The Gun Control Act (GCA) of 1968 requires federal firearms licensees (FFLs) to report all transactions in which an unlicensed person acquired, at one time or during five consecutive business days, two or more handguns (Pistols or Revolvers).

The multiple sale report must be submitted/transmitted to the ATF and your CLEO no later than the close of business on the day the multiple sale or other disposition takes place.

This form is NOT REQUIRED when the handguns (Pistols or Revolvers) are returned to the same person from whom they were received.
