When you renew your FFL the only thing that changes is the expiration date.

An FFL is renewed for three years.

If you have a NEW FFL number do not update your existing FFL number to the new one. You may need to create a new account instead. Please contact support if you need further assistance.

If you’ve changed your address, you will follow these steps and update your account owner contact. In this case more than just your FFL expiration date and address may change.
You should only update your FFL Number when you renew your FFL.
There are two ways to get to your account owner contact.

Go to Settings > Account on the Main Menu.

Then click on the name of your FFL:

Go to Contacts on the Main Menu.

Then expand the Account Owner FFL panel.

Then click on the name of your FFL.

On the Edit Contact page, click the “Update Contact” link in the “Federal Firearms License” panel:

If you get an error, then your FFL Number is no longer active or typed in incorrectly.
